Co-Creation are proud to support grassroots football by sponsoring Ashton United\u2019s under 14s’ away kit. Co-Creation have chosen Ashton United based on their philosophy and approach with their youth teams and how they also support their staff and coaches, many of whom are volunteers.<\/p>\n
Ashton United Youth believe grassroots football is so important for the happiness and physical and mental well-being of the younger generation. As a youth section they have teamed up with Noggin to buy club hats where some of the proceeds go to mental health charities. The club also look after their staff, volunteers and coaches by providing a mental health and well-being plan that they can use if and when they need support.<\/p>\n
As a club they take children from 4 years old into their soccer school to introduce them to the game, and it\u2019s all about fun. They have teams from under 7s where they keep the emphasis on fun and games all the way up to under 21s where their teams play in leagues that pride themselves on being the best in the region outside of the professional game.<\/p>\n
With their under 14s, their emphasis is on player and team development whilst also trying to be competitive at their level. After two promotions in two seasons the team will play in the championship of the North Bury Junior Football League next season.\u00a0 To step up again will be tough task but a challenge the players and coaches are relishing.<\/p>\n
The players compete with each other for places in the squad each week, but they are very clear that talent is only part of the requirement.\u00a0 Effort, fitness and attitude at training and matches are all equally as important as togetherness.<\/p>\n
To build the togetherness they also do other activities away from the pitch, such as Laser Quest and go karting.<\/p>\n
